Vom Grill
Burgers
Cheddar or BBQ, both work. The caramel in the glass meets the char on the bun halfway.

A creamy wheat beer with a little caramel on the side.
Die Geschichte
Some beers take getting used to. This one you already know, or at least you think you do. Thomas’ Dunkelweizen is inspired by a much-loved island style that plenty of beer drinkers recognise from the very first sip.
Then we brewed it to our own recipe. A soft malt sweetness, subtle caramel, a creamy body, and a little banana and clove from the wheat yeast. Familiar, but just that little bit different.
Approachable enough for the whole table, with enough character to be the beer people ask about. Full and round at six percent, and at its best among people who are in no hurry to leave.
One year old makes us a young tradition, we admit. But every tradition at the Stammtisch started with a single round. Wir arbeiten dran.
“A creamy wheat beer with a little caramel.” — Thomas
Im Glas
Colour
A warm, dark amber-brown at 30 EBC, under a dense, cream-coloured head that stays a while, like a good guest.
Aroma
Ripe banana and a whiff of clove from the wheat yeast, resting on soft caramel and sweet malt.
Taste
Full and round. A gentle malt sweetness, subtle caramel and banana, with just a touch of clove.
Body
Creamy and smooth, with only 15 EBU of bitterness. Rich enough to linger over, easy enough to order again.
Nach eigenem Rezept
Wheat malt, hops, yeast and water. That is the whole list. What we do with them is our own recipe, all 14,5 degrees Plato of it.
Wheat malt
The heart of it. Wheat malt brings the soft malt sweetness, the caramel tones and that creamy body.
Hops
Used with a light hand: 15 EBU keeps the bitterness in the background, where a Dunkelweizen likes it.
Yeast
Our wheat yeast does the talking. The banana and the touch of clove are all its own work.
Water
And water, of course. Nothing else goes in. The rest is our own recipe, and that we keep to ourselves.
Das Einschenken
…and look like you’ve done it before.
Rinse the glass with cold water first. A wet glass keeps the foam fine.
Tilt it to 45° and pour slowly down the side.
Straighten the glass as it fills. Let the head rise; don’t chase it.
Leave a finger’s width in the bottle, give it a swirl and pour in the rest. That is the good bit.
And if it foams over? Call it Schaum and smile. Nobody at the Stammtisch has ever minded.
Zum Essen
A Dunkelweizen likes a full plate. These are the dishes it gets along with best.
Vom Grill
Cheddar or BBQ, both work. The caramel in the glass meets the char on the bun halfway.
Vom Grill
Smoke and sticky glaze love a beer this round. Keep napkins nearby; you will need them for both.
Brotzeit
Cured meats, aged cheese, something pickled. The creamy body softens the salt and invites another slice.
Hauptgang
Slow-cooked and hearty, for the evenings that go dark early. The malt sweetness was made for a rich gravy.
Nachtisch
Caramel with caramel. We could pretend it is a daring pairing, but honestly, it is just very good.
„Zum Wohl, und auf den Herbst.“Für Wirte & Händler
For bars, restaurants and bottle shops that want a distinctive wheat beer with broad appeal.
Bekannt, aber anders
A dark wheat beer is easy to love for a broad crowd, and still carries real character and a craft feel. Guests who know the style will order it; guests who don’t will order it twice.
Saisonliebling, ganzjährig
It shines in autumn and winter, but works just as well as a rotating tap or a standing surprise for anyone who likes their beer on the richer side.
Wo gibt’s das?
Thomas’ Dunkelweizen is finding its way onto taps and shelves, one Stammtisch at a time. For now, this is where you’ll find it.
